I wonder if they took them off because they were so uncomfortable. (:
Just like our home in Holland used to be - around 1976! Now we're in Malaysia the shoes still pile up outside the door but we don't' have clogs. Hmm, maybe time to buy some.
That line of shoes is quite eye catching. Striking photo.
Ouch! I can't imagine wearing wooden shoes.
I hope you'll get a chance to stop by and check out my WW contribution for today!
Just Some Thoughts
You know those are about the same basic shape as crocs. Now make it multi colored plastic and it looks like the shoe pile at our door. I bet my yellow crocs are more comfortable!
Looks like 17th century parents had a better time getting kids to line up their shoes than we do today. Happy WW!
Looks pretty grim
I like them but i haven't try wearing one. About the photo love how you took it.
Happy WW.
I always thought only the Dutch from Holland wore them. Neat photo!
What a thoughtful and poignant picture. I really like it. The soft, pale colors are so representative of times past.
Thanks for dropping by. :D
Great photo! I love the brick floor under the wooden shoes.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy WW :)
