1. To nurture my need to be creative.
2. To preserve memories.
3. To capture the love I feel for my children.
4. To record the beauty that uplifts me.
5. To help me remember to look for the beauty in the “ugly”.
6. And to keep looking for beauty in the mundane.

Lovely post Coleen! You have a great list of reasons you photograph. All internally motivated, to keep you going strong! We all need to nurture our need to be creative and to see beauty in the world around us. I look forward to seeing more from you as the course goes along!
Hi Coleen,
Great to see each of your reasons to photograph with an example of a photograph. I can relate to many of your reasons. I especially enjoy finding interest in the mundane. Looking forward to seeing more pics through the course.

great photostory and well illustrated words :-()
i am fascinated by the idea of uncovering the beauty in the ugly..... i think that is a hard thing to do but i remember some of my own attempts to photograph decay in an attractive way so i guess i kind of know what you mean....
thanks for sharing that insight
